Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of India in South Africa series. This is Day Four of the second Test at the SuperSport Park, Centurion. Here you will get all the live scores and updates from the day’s play. South Africa hold a strong position in the match, with a lead of 118 runs over India and 8 wickets in hand. AB de Villiers and Dean Elgar formed a strong partnership on Day Three, with de Villiers scoring a half-century and both will resume batting for the hosts.

Virat Kohli’s 153 powered India to get to a 307-run total. Barring the skipper and Murali Vijay, rest of Indian batsmen failed collectively. Morne Morkel emerged as South Africa’s best bowler with figures of 4 for 60 while debutant Lungi Ngiri bagged the wicket of Parthiv Patel for a positive start to his career. Following that, Indian bowlers performed well to get rid of both Aiden Markram and Hashim Amla for solitary-run innings each. Jasprit Bumrah claimed both wickets before de Villiers-Elgar notched up an unbeaten 87-run partnership to revive South Africa.

Brief scores:

South Africa 335 and 90 for 2 (Dean Elgar 36, AB de Villiers 50*; Jasprit Bumrah 2 for 30) lead India 307 (Murali Vijay 46, Virat Kohli 153, Ravichandran Ashwin 38; Lungisani Ngidi 1 for 26, Morne Morkel 4 for 60) by 118 runs.
