Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. This is Suvajit Mustafi and I will keep you updated for the match 56 of the tournament, which will be the final game of the league stages. Delhi Daredevils (DD) take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. The result of this game will have little bearing on the points table. The teams are playing here for pride. Full Cricket Scorecard: Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2017, Match 56 at Delhi

Virat Kohli returns home to Delhi and the RCB skipper has an excellent record at this venue, averaging just over 92. RCB are languishing at the bottom of the table with just two wins from their 12 completed games and thanks to the washout against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), they managed another point to take their tally to 5.

DD have had a mixed run. They have had highs and lows. At one end, they have managed to chase down big totals consistently on the other end, they have also registered some record low scores. Coming off a win against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), DD have the winning momentum going for them. A win will take them to 14 points and they will finish with same numbers as Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). They will eye for the same. However, the advantage lies with RCB, who have won 12 games against this opponent and lost only 6.

Both the sides will be hampered by the absence of quality South African players. While RCB will play without AB de Villiers, there will be no Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada for DD. All in all, the last game of the league holds no relevance but both Zaheer Khan and Kohli are proud men, and win here will leave some sweet soothing feel to their bitter buds that have suffered losses aplenty.
