Hello, good evening and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog and updates post for the 19th match in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). I am Vishal Mehra and I will be bringing you the live cricket scores and updates of the clash. The match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad. Both sides have lost their previous two encounters and will now like to move up the IPL 2017 points table by turning their fortunes around. One common feature in both sides is the fact that Australian captains lead them. While the explosive David Warner is leading the defending champions SRH, this is Glenn Maxwell’s first season as captain for KXIP. SRH have the advantage going into this tie. Not only are they playing in their home ground but also they enjoy a 6-2 win ratio against the team from north. Out of the four games played between these two at Hyderabad, SRH have won thrice while KXIP have managed a solitary victory.
The big threat for KXIP will be the form of Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan. He has been in a top notch form and has added an extra dimension to the already strong SRH bowling line-up. However they will be sweating over Mustafizur Rahman’s selection. The Bangladeshi pacer might replace all-rounder Ben Cutting for today’s game. With Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ashish Nehra in their ranks, the addition of Mustafizur will further strengthen their bowling unit.
KXIP meanwhile have an explosive batting line-up. In Maxwell, David Miller, Eoin Morgan, Hashim Amla, Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha, KXIP have some of the cleanest hitters. They have a task in hand as they will be up against the tournament’s best bowling attack. A win for either of them will see them climb up the points table and move to six points.
