A young in-form Delhi Daredevils side take on the new entrants Gujarat Lions in Match 23 of IPL 2016 at Delhi. DD were written off even before the campaign started due to their poor showing in recent years. They started of the 2016 season with a loss to KKR, only to bounce back by winning three games on the trot. The team is a mixture of youth and experience, and are heavily relying one Quinton de Kock for runs. While Sanju Samson, Karun Nair and JP Duminy have got runs, they need to gather consistency. Their bowling is spearheaded by skipper Zaheer Khan and would hope it fires them to a fourth consecutive win.
Gujarat Lions have had a spectacular start to their campaign, having won four of their five games. A new entrant to this IPL, the mixture of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals players seems to have work perfectly for them. In their batting, Aaron Finch has been brilliant, and has received due support from Brendon McCullum, Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik.
