LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Gujarat Lions vs Rising Pune Supergiants, IPL 2016, Match 6 of Rajkot.
RPS gave an over all performance with their key pacers Mitchell Marsh and Ishant Sharma scalping two wickets while GL did have some flaws with their top order while the bowling department required a check, barring Dwayne Bravo after his 4-for against Kings XI Punjab. While Ajinkya Rahane who has been top scorer for Rajasthan Royals all the seasons, was found to maintain the same form for the new franchise as well. Collaborating with him was South African T20 skipper Faf du Plessis leading RPS to their first win in the first season.
GL might look to bring some changes to their squad after some ups and downs in the top order and bowling department. The skipper Raina did give an impetus but could withstand the opponents strong bowling clash. As for RPS the top order completed the task and Dhoni was not required to take over the finishing role. Although, it will be ionteresting to see how the once playing together will now play against each other and who will take their team to finishing line at Rajkot.
