Lokesh Rahul, Karun Nair and Yuzvendra Chahal to debut in 1st ODI at Harare

BCCI confirm that three players will be making their ODI debut today including Lokesh Rahul, Karun Nair and Yuzvendra Chahal

Three players will be making their ODI debut at Harare against Zimbabwe in the first ODI today at Harare. Lokesh Rahul, Karun Nair and Yuzvendra Chahal are set to make their ODI debut. After this only two player will be left uncapped in the squad. MS Dhoni capped the players before the toss at Harare. Dhoni will be leading the side throughout the tournament. He gets a wicketkeeper in form of Lokesh Rahul who was selected in the side after an impressive performance for Royal Challengers Banglaore (RCB) in IPL 9. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 21 wickets in the IPL for RCB and was only second to Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the race of Purple Cap. India are clear favorites going into the tournament as they are expected to whitewash the ODI series under Dhoni’s captaincy. The skipper will have the responsibility of guiding the inexperienced player on the customary yearly tour of Zimbabwe. He might not be keeping stumps today as Lokesh Rahul might be the wicketkeeper for today’s match.
