Cricket Australia (CA) Sunday replaced Ben Cutting with Luke Butterworth in the Australia A squad for the last two unofficial one-day matches of the VB Series against England Lions in Sydney.
Australia A physiotherapist David Beakley said: “Ben Cutting aggravated an existing groin injury in the match against England Lions in Hobart last Monday and has since failed to recover or improve sufficiently to participate in the remaining matches of the series.
“As a result he will be removed from the Australia A squad to undergo specific rehabilitation for this injury. His return to cricket will be determined by how well he progresses through this rehabilitation.”
Butterworth will join the squad Sunday night.
Australia A and England Lions will play the next two matches Monday and Friday at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Australia A leads the series 3-0.
