The doyens of Sri Lankan cricket, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene have taken the ‘ice bucket challenge’ together, just like their business venture and the thousands of runs that they have accumulated over the past decade and took up the challenge together. The Sri Lankan teammates joined in for pouring ice on the two legends.
The two pillars of Sri Lankan cricket was nominated by Island Nation’s philanthropist and fashion designer Otara Gunewardene. Things take an interesting turn in the Ice Bucket challenge nomination list. Sangakkara urged Indian batting star Virat Kohli, legendary Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist and South African pace ace Dale Steyn. Jayawardene nominated his captain Angelo Mathews, Australian skipper Michael Clarke and Indian batting legend Rahul Dravid.
