We have often seen people getting into an outrageous brawl and hitting one another with a hockey stick. But Northamptonshire citizen have a different approach. In retrospect, a BMW pulled in front of a white Mercedes ML near Rothwell Lodge cottages last week. This incident flared up both drivers’ temper and they got out of the car and got into a rage attack. The BMW driver had a cricket bat in his car. He got so furious that hit the other driver on the back of his legs with the bat, making him fall down. The Northamptonshire police is yet to find the culprit and have been questioning the witnesses.

This is not the first time such ‘bat’ assault has burst into the scene. A woman was ruthlessly beaten with a cricket bat by her husband in Auckland, New Zealand. While she was lying unconscious, the couple’s flat mate decided to call an ambulance, but her husband told him to “let her die”. Also read: Sachin Tendulkar: WICB should support West Indies players

There was even more merciless attack with a bat that took place in Australia. A father used a cricket bat to murder his 11-year-old son in front of his mother. The accused named Greg Anderson was said to be mentally ill and was eventually show dead by the police.

However, getting back Northamptonshire incident, the culprit was said to be about 30-years-old, 6 ft 5 in, with an athletic build, fashioned a brown beard, and wore a T-shirt and jeans. Unfortunately, cricket bats have been making headlines for the wrong reasons of late.
