Channel Nine commentator Mark Nicholas was once again rushed to the local Epworth Hospital in Melbourne after complaints of abdominal pain for the second time in three days. Nicholas had to be hospitalised on Day One of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG between Australia and Pakistan. After being rushed to the hospital on Day One, Nicholas was discharged the very same night and was advised rest. After taking a day’s rest, Nicholas was again back to commentate on Day Three to continue his role of leading Channel Nine’s coverage. It was during the start of the final session on the third day that Nicholas complained about the issue and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Nicholas was in his senses when he was being rushed to the hospital but expressed some pain which is the reason he has been admitted. It is expected that Channel Nine will issue a statement soon shedding more light on his condition and about the seriousness of the pain if any at all. When Nicholas had first complained about the issue, he was sweating profusely and was taken to the hospital but there has not been information received about today’s incident.
