Mayank Agarwal and Manish Pandey slammed centuries as India A put up 371 for the loss of three wickets on board against South Africa A in the sixth A Triangular series at Chennai on Thursday. Unmukt Chand scored a half-century as India A put up a challenging total for the South Africans to chase down. It is to be remembered that South Africa A need to chase their target down inside 29 overs if they want to qualify for the final, to be played against Australia A. South Africa A won the toss and elected to bowl against India A. Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Wayne Parnell started the proceedings for South Africa A, as India A openers, Agarwal and Chand took some time to settle down and fire up. Soon Chand brought about his half-century. However, he did not last long, as Chand was trapped leg before by Maharaj. Chand slammed three fours and three sixes in his innings of 64 from 77 balls.

Pandey was the next batsman in. He took no time, as Agarwal steered past, punishing visitors left, right and centre, for bowling anything short or full. Even anything wide on leg or off side were lofted for a boundary. Chand and Agarwal were involved in a 106 runs partnership for the first wicket. Pandey and Agarwal were involved in a 206 runs partnership for the second wicket.

Pandey then brought his century in style slamming six off the last ball of the India A innings. Pandey scored an unbeaten 108 from 85 balls, slamming 8 fours and 2 sixes. Agarwal scored 176 from 133 balls, slamming 20 fours and 5 sixes. South Africa A used seven bowlers in the match as Quinton de Kock back in the playing eleven. Dean Elgar is not playing the match. Dane Vilas is leading the team.
