MCA asks Vengsarkar to head its Cricket Improvement Committee

Former India skipper Dilip Vengsarkar has been approached by the Mumbai Cricket Association to become chairman of its Cricket Improvement Committee, a top MCA official said.

 

Vengsarkar is expected to decide on accepting the offer by Tuesday, he said.

 

“Union minister Vilasrao Deshmukh (MCA President) talked to Vengsarkar today after the managing committee meeting, requesting him to head the CIC and he has asked time till Tuesday to decide,” said MCA Joint Secretary Nitin Dalal.

 

The other members of the CIC committee appointed today were Sanjay Manjrekar, Chandrakant Pandit, Balvindar Sandhu, Milind Rege, Mayank Khandwalla, Sanjay Patil, Deepak Patil and Ravi Thakkar.
