Misbah-ul-Haq has become the most successful Test captain for Pakistan equalling the Javed Miandad and Imran Khan’s record with 14 Test wins. Before the start of this Test series against Australia, Misbah had led Pakistan in 12 Test wins and created the record by whitewashing the Aussies. Pakistan won the first Test by 221 runs and the second Test by 356.

While Pakistan won their first Test series after defeating England 3-0, this series was a success for Misbah as a batsman as well. He recorded the fastest Test fifty and also the fastest Test hundred during the second Test at Abu Dhabi. Misbah hit a fifty in 21 balls, three less than Jacques Kallis’ world record and then went on to equal Viv Richards’ world record of 56-ball hundred.
