After Mumbai Indians (MI) secured a convincing 59-runs victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, Mitchell Santner praised Jasprit Bumrah for his outstanding bowling performance in the 63rd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Bumrah took 3 wickets while conceding just 12 runs in his 3.2-over spell, finishing with an economy rate of 3.60 against Delhi Capitals. He picked up the wickets of Tristan Stubbs, Madhav Tiwari, and Mustafizur Rehman during his spell.
“We have shown that in the last few games, the guys up top trying to swing the ball and it’s always nice to have someone like Bumrah to bowl at the back end of the powerplay and obviously at the end.” said Santner during the post-match presentation.
Three-wicket hauls from Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner helped bowl out the visiting Delhi Capitals for 121, as Mumbai Indians sealed a 59-run win at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
With the victory against DC, MI became the fourth team to secure a spot in the playoff list. The other teams present are Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings.
The New Zealand cricketer further said that while the bowlers did a great job, the real game-changers were Suryakumar Yadav who scored an impressive 73 runs off 43 balls and Naman Dhir who contributed 24 runs off 8 deliberies.

“As a unit, we were great with the ball. But it was set up by SKY and Naman to get us to 180, which was probably over par on that wicket,” the 33-year-old player added.
