Ellyse Perry gained the top spot in women’s ODI batting ranking. This is the first time in her career that Perry has achieved this. She went past India’s Mithali Raj, who slipped two places to the third spot as Meg Lanning moved to second spot. Mithali scored 69 runs at 23 in the recently-concluded ODI series in South Africa. Smriti Mandhana, on the other hand, slammed 219 runs in the same series and that saw her jump 14 places to the 21st spot. Harmanpreet Kaur is the only other Indian batter in the top 10 ranking, placed at No. 7.

Perry, 27, also remains the No. 1 ODI all-rounder. She recently received the Belinda Clark award in the Allan Border Medal 2018.
