Mithali Raj surpasses Charlotte Edward's tally of most 50+ scores in Women's ODIs

Mithali Raj recorded her 50th ODI half-century playing against England Women's in the series decider. With this record she also surpassed England's Charlotte Edward and became the player with most 50+ scores in ODIs. Before today's game she and Charlotte had equal number of 50+ score(55). Mithali is also the leading run scorer in Women's ODI with 6373 runs in 194 matches with an average of 50.18 and is the only active player in the top four. The next active player is Stafanie Taylor with 4230 runs playing for West Indies.

In the final ODI match of the three match ODI series against England Women, Mithali played a responsible knock of 74* guiding the team to victory sealing the series for India. India chased down the 202 under 46 overs as Deepti Sharma (54*) smashed a six to secure victory. Smriti Mandhana provided India with a good start hitting 53 off 67 before getting retired hurt.
