Mohammad Hafeez Names His Favourite Top 5 Batsmen of All-Time, Includes Virat Kohli And Sachin Tendulkar in List

Hafeez gave replies to questions ranging from cricket to his personal life as well.

Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez named five cricketers who according to him are the greatest batsmen of all-time. During a Q&A session on popular social networking site Twitter, the experienced all-rounder included two Indian superstars, a Pakistan veteran batsman, a West Indies legend and a modern-day stalwart in his prefered list. With no international or domestic cricket going on due to Coronavirus pandemic, several former and current cricket stars are keeping themselves engaged with fans through number of social media platforms.

The 39-year-old responded to various queries ranging from cricket to his personal life. On being asked by a fan to name his top-5 batsmen in the world, the all-rounder’s reply included the names of: ‘Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Saeed Anwar and AB de Villiers.’

Hafeez was playing for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) before the T20 tournament got suspended due to deadly virus. He said earlier in the year that he will be retiring from all forms of international cricket after the 2020 T20 World Cup later in the year.

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan warned veteran all-rounder and told him to explain his recent outburst questioning the board’s selection policy regarding Sharjeel Khan.

Last week, Hafeez expressed his views on Twitter regarding Sharjeel’s Khan’s comeback in the national team, wondering if “honour and pride” did not matter at all to the PCB a dig at both the board and the player, who had a notorious past.
