Mohammad Siraj was seen having a heated exchange of words with Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis during the last match of the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. For the follow-up, Siraj took a wicket, on which the reaction of Virat Kohli made it to spotlight. This incident happened during Sri Lanka was batting. Siraj was called out to bowl the39th over. He sent three back-to-back dot balls, with the last ball leaving a heated conversation with Kusal. On the very next ball, Kusal scored a single and Siraj made a comeback as he took the wicket of Sadeera Samarawickrama as he took his first ball of the game.
Umpire was not looking convinced with the appeal for an LBW, but India still went for it. When reviewed, it came to show that the ball hit Sadeera’s boot before hitting the bat. Ball tracking further revealed that it would have hit the leg stump. Though the initial decision was not an out by the field umpire, the review turned it in no time, and resulted in Virat Kohli along with other teammates celebrating. Kohli ever gave a fierce hyped-up reaction to boost the bolwer’s pride.
