Former Indian Champions Trophy-winning player Mohammed Kaif sent praise towards Shreyas Iyer for his spectacular performance against New Zealand at Dubai. Shreyas had made his comeback to international cricket after he showcased his explosive batting in domestic cricket, scoring 79 runs in India’s final league clash.
Shreyas had come to bat when India’s innings was in a position of disaster, as they had lost three wickets of key players in quick succession. Iyer made a partnership with Axar Patel and somewhat steadied India’s innings.
Kaif, who was a part of India’s 2002 Champions Trophy squad, went on to his Twitter account and praised Shreyas for his impressive knock of 79 runs, which included 4 fours and 2 sixes.
