Vishakhapatnam: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Moises Henriques has lauded Yuvraj Singh‘s presence of mind, saying that his teammate’s run out of Mahendra Singh Dhoni swung the tide of the match in their favour. Rising Pune Supergiants‘ (RPS) hopes of making it to the playoffs ended in all likelihood after suffering a narrow four-run defeat to Sunrisers in their Indian Premier League clash in Visakhapatnam’s ACA-VDCA stadium on Tuesday. With 14 needed off the last over, Supergiants fell short of five runs as Ashish Nehra bowled a fine last over while Yuvraj spectacularly ran out Dhoni in the penultimate bowl of the match. “You can’t buy experience. Tonight when Yuvi from backward point came running in for that run out, an inexperienced player would have been just watching the game and not know what was going on. For me that was the play that won us the game,” Henriques was quoted as saying by iplt20.com.

“It’s that little play, otherwise Dhoni would have been on strike for the win, set batsman and he’s a master-class in those situations. But to have a new batsman out there for the last ball, it was because Yuvi was aware and just having that experience shows in a game of cricket, when under pressure especially,” said Henriques while adding that credit should go to Yuvraj for forcing Adam Zampa to face the last ball with a six to win or a four to tie the game. However, Zampa edged to a flying Naman Ojha behind the stumps as Supergiants could only make 133 in their stipulated 20 overs. With the win, SRH have topped the points table.
