England batsman Eoin Morgan, who flew back to England ahead of the team’s selection for the first Test match against Sri Lanka, may rejoin his Indian Premier League side Kolkata Knight Riders, if the selectors leave him out from the squad.
Morgan scored an unbeaten 156 playing for England Loins against Sri Lanka in a tour game, which ends on May 22, and the squad will be announced on the same day. If not selected, he can join the Knight Riders as the IPL play-offs begin on May 24.
“If I’m not picked I’ll make other plans. We are looking good at the IPL so if we make the final I’ll fly back out,” Morgan said.
