After resuming play from 179 for 4, South Africa looked good for the early half and hour of morning session as Nick Compton and Ben Stokes played out any swing the pitch had to offer. England final wicket stay at crease between Broad and Finn have frustrated South Africa as England go in lunch all out at 303 .England have looked out of sorts in most of the play after the new ball was taken, Stuart Broad mini attack-cum-resistance meant that they go in lunch fairly content. It was all the Morne Morkel show since the whole of extended session, Morkel who had a dull first day, made his intention clear by picking the wicket of Stokes, who was playing aggressively on 24. Once the new ball was taken it was all the Morkel show picking up 3 more wickets including two in two balls. Morkel picked up Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes, both on zero. Kyle Abbott picked up the other wicket of Jonny Bairstow to round of a good show by South African bowling.Broad made 32 from 33 ball.This session has been a extended one with played beginning half hour early and play being extend for the fall of final wicket. For England the only bright spot in the day was Nick Compton and Jonny Bairstow. Compton who continued his innings from 63 manages to score just 6 runs in the early half and hour of game. Ben Stokes did provide some fun in the middle playing aggressively before getting out on 21, which included 4 boundaries. Morkel’s wicket of Stokes led to the downfall of England team as he also got the wicket of Compton on 85, was looking good for a hundred. After Compton it was Bairstow who was resilient in his game play making a valiant 41 off 99 balls.
