The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) has urged the state government to waive off the entertainment tax for the fourth one-dayer between India and the West Indies at Holkar Stadium on December 8.
“We have requested Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to waive the entertainment tax which would be around Rs 75 lakh,” MPCA CEO Rohit Pandit said at a press conference here today.
The stadium, having capacity of 21,000 spectators, would fetch revenue worth Rs two crore, he said.
For the match, S Ravi (Chennai) and Tony Hill (New Zealand) would be on-field umpires, Sudhir Asnani (Indore) would be TV umpire and Nandan of Bangalore would be fourth umpire. Former Australia batman David Boon would be the match referee and Kamlesh Thakkar (Maharashtra Cricket Association) would be the BCCI observer, he said.
