Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Sunday became the seventh wicket-keeper in the history of the game to score a double hundred in Test cricket. The Indian captain achieved the feat in the first Test against Australia at Chennai.
It was an attacking display of batting as Dhoni tore apart the Australian attack and helped India take a crucial lead in the first innings.
In the process, he beat Budhi Kunderan’s score of 192 as the highest by an Indian wicket-keeper. With this knock, Dhoni has joined the likes of Andy Flower, Kumar Sangakkara and Adam Gilchrist to name a few.
Here is a list of the wicket-keepers who have scored a double-century in Tests:
Score | Opposition | Year | |
