MS Dhoni has been elected as the captain of the ICC (International Cricket Council) ODI (One-Day International) Team of the Year but surprising neither Dhoni nor any other Indian made it to the ICC Test Team of the Year announced by the ICC. Angelo Mathews is adjudged as the captain of the Test team.

Alongside Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Mohammad Shami have also made it to the ODI team. But the Test team has no mention of any Indian player.

ICC also announced the People’s choice award which went to the Indian seamer, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. Kumar became the third Indian to win the award after Sachin Tendulkar and Dhoni.
