MS Dhoni was the chief-guest in an army-sponsored cricket tournament in Kashmir. While his visit has been the talk of the town off late, it was during the same time that he was greeted with chants of “Boom, Boom Afridi” by the crowds. (Shahid) Afridi is a widely-popular player both in India and Pakistan, but these chants surely raises few eyebrows. However, Dhoni seemed undeterred, as always, by the unusual greeting.

Apart from talking about the possibility of resumption of India-Pakistan cricketing ties, the former Indian skipper also interacted extensively with youngsters in the conflict-ridden valley. Dhoni also made a strong statement, supporting Virat Kohli on India‘s cramped schedule ahead of a greulling South Africa tour in early 2018.
