“The Shaukeens” actor, who keeps sharing his thoughts and details about his personal and professional life on social media platforms, was shooting for the biopic in Ranchi. Sushant will be seen stepping into Dhoni’s shoes for the biopic. “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story”, which is slated to hit the theatres next year, is directed by Neeraj Pandey.

Dhoni is widely regarded as India’s most successful skipper in the limited-overs formats and is a national obsession in the cricket mad country. Dhoni has now retired from the Test format which was never his forte but continues to enthrall his audiences in One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) formats in which he also leads the side.

His career is currently witnessing a slight dip and has attracted some criticism but he still receives rich praise from most quarters and is expected to bounce back. His next assignment as captain will be a demanding limited-overs tour of Australia.
