In the wake of the abrupt retirement of MS Dhoni from Test cricket after the third Test against Australia at Melbourne, former teammate S Sreesanth dropped a bombshell stating that he has a revelation to make to with regard to Dhoni.
According to a website metromatinee.com, Sreesanth made a startling remark insinuating that he had a secret about Dhoni to divulge and that he would do so in due course, while talking to a news channel.
Dhoni shocked the cricketing fraternity by suddenly retiring from Test cricket subsequent to the Melbourne Test against Australia. The timing of the move surprised one and all as it came in the middle of the series with India two nil down. Dhoni, however, will continue to lead the One-Day International side and will captain the Indian team at the ICC World Cup 2015.
India will now be captained by Virat Kohli, who will be their 32nd captain in history. Kohli also led India in the first Test of the series, at the Adelaide Oval, which India lost by 48 runs. India are expected to be a lot more aggressive under Kohli’s leadership, who is known for his attitude and boldness on the field.
Dhoni retired as India’s most capped skipper, leading the country in 60 Tests out of the 90 he played in his career spanning a little more than 10 years. In these 60 Tests under Dhoni, India won 27 and lost 18.
Dhoni has expressed his desire of former Australia batsman Michael Hussey to be named India coach owhen Duncan Fletcher’s times comes up. Reports also suggest that Dhoni could retire even from One-Day Internationals (ODI) after the ICC World Cup 2015.
