Ajay Jadeja, the former India batsman has praised captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s captaincy and has said that those who question his cricketing acumen are jealous of his success. Jadeja said that Dhoni is cool and doesn’t get unnerved by the occasion.
Speaking to the New Indian Express, Jadeja said, “What I like most about Dhoni is his temperament. He never gets rattled and is always cool and composed. People who doubt his cricketing acumen are jealous of his success. By instinct alone you cannot win so many tournaments. People who are jealous of his success keep talking like that.”
Jadeja also appreciated Shikhar Dhawan‘s role in the team, “When you have a player who plays like (Virender) Sehwag, what else do you want? Openers play an important role in a team’s success. When you have a solid opening pair it is half the job done.”
Meanwhile, he also had good words to say about Ravindra Jadeja, “He has been the biggest plus for the team and played a role in the team’s success.”
India have had a good run in the last two months. Under Dhoni’s leadership they won the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 and the tri-series in the West Indies. Dhawan and Ravindra Jadeja had major roles to play in those victories.
