Dhoni and the left-arm bowler, who made his debut in the match, were summoned by the match referee Andy Pycroft and were fined 75 per cent of their match fees for their on-field collision. It looked like the bowler did it deliberately, as it was the second instance when he had come in the way of a striker running towards the other end. Watch: Video: MS Dhoni pushes Mustafizur Rahman in India vs Bangladesh 1st ODI at Mirpur

Former cricketer Manjrekar, who is in Bangladesh for the series, was not happy with the decision of putting a fine on the Indian ODI captain.

“Skipper Dhoni along with administrative manager Biswarup Dey were present during the hearing. Now Mustafizur along with members of team management have gone into present their case. The Indian team management is hoping for Level I charge to be pressed against Dhoni so that it ends with a fine only. A Level 2 offence may lead to ban,” a source told PTI. READ: Was MS Dhoni right in pushing Mustafizur Rahman aside?
