When it comes to National pride, few can match the patriot fervor shown by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Not only he has been a great warrior for the nation on the field, but, off the field, has also shown great love for the armed forces — something that he has often said is very close to his hear. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on the occasion of India’s 69th Independence Day, posted a video on their Twitter account with the words “#Believe # Jai Hind” The goosebumps- giving video shows clips of the monk-like Dhoni on the field of play with his audio in the background giving a discourse about belief. There is no better person in the Indian cricket team who can talk about belief than Dhoni, who emerged from small-town Jharkhand to become one of the biggest sporting icons in the world. And if there is one moment that underlines his supreme belief in himself, it’s the time he promoted himself ahead of the in-form Yuvraj Singh at a very critical stage in the World Cup final and took India to victory.
