MS Dhoni is undoubtedly amongst the biggest names in sports fraternity across the globe. The release of his biopic earlier this year has only increased his fan following in the world. Like Dhoni, the movie was also a blockbuster hit and created plenty of records in terms of collection. Besides box office records, the buzz for this movie was already immense before the release and it was one of top trending topics on social media. Going by the reports, the movie has collected INR 215.48 crores, which is more than double the film’s budget. Sushant Singh Rajput did an excellent job in portraying the role of Dhoni in the movie.
Recently, Facebook released a list of most talked about topics and trends towards the end of this year. It is a no-brainer that movie found a place in top five. Facebook has a system that is responsible for tracking the trends. The movie was released on more than 4,500 screens and registered the record of second highest grossing movie of 2016 on the first day by collecting INR 21.30 crores. The movie shows many sides of Dhoni’s personality. From his childhood to struggling days in cricket and then to his success days. Actor Sushant received many applauds for his stunning performance in the film, which has been rated as his best so far.
