MS Dhoni’s biopic sequel may be released next year

The director of the sequel is yet to be decided but it is known that Sushant will start with his cricketing lessons soon.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story was one of Bollywood’s greatest hits in 2016. The movie focused on Dhoni’s early life to winning the ICC World Cup 2011. However, there have been reports that a sequel of the biopic will be released next year. Sushant Singh Rajput, who featured as Dhoni, will be continuing with the role. The movie is reportedly be produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Films.

The movie will focus on Dhoni’s life after World Cup 2011. A source close to Rajput told mid-day: “There is the thrilling win against Bangalore at the T20 this year (Dhoni was captain of the winning team Chennai Super Kings) that can be depicted in the film. Apart from that, India’s steady run, up to the semi-finals, at the 2015 World Cup will find a place in the narrative.”
