Mumbai Indians and New South Wales qualify for semi-finals from Group A

Mumbai Indians and New South Wales have advanced to semi-finals of the Champions League T20 on Tuesday.

Mumbai Indians are the first team from Group A to advance to the semifinals as earlier on Tuesday Trinidad & Tobago beat Cape Cobras in a close encounter which made the way for Mumbai franchise to enter the semifinals.

In the second match played on Tuesday at Chennai, New South Wales Blues comprehensively beat defending champions Chennai Super kings to enter the semifinals.

Mumbai Indians are ranked second in group A with five points while New South Wales who beat Chennai Super Kings top the table with six points.

Defending champions Chennai Super Kings are out of the Champions League T20.
