Mumbai Indians vs Lahore Lions CLT20 2014 2nd Qualifier match: Michael Hussey out for 28

Sep 13, 2014

Michael Hussey was dismissed for 28 by Wahab Riaz as Mumbai Indians continue to struggle Lahore Lions in the second qualifier match of the Champions League T20 2014 (CLT20) at Raipur on Saturday.

Tare looked a bit rusty but soon got in to the groove while Hussey continued to be calm and found the gaps rotating the strike and picking the occasional boundaries. His timing was immaculate too and it was visible when he hit Mohammad Hafeez for a six over wide long-off in the ninth over. Tare followed with one more maximum in the next over. Hussey was dismissed in the 12th over just when Mumbai were clawing back.

Pakistan pacers bowled well in the powerplay. Aizaz Cheema picked two wickets in his second over to derail the Mumbai Indians innings. Simmons was struggling to get off to a breezy start which he is known for. He came down the track to launch Cheema over mid-off but couldn’t clear the infield. Within no time they lost one more wicket. Jalaj Saxena came in at No 3 and ended up gifting his wicket away. The next to go was Ambati Rayudu. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Rayudu was a key batsman for Mumbai but failed to do anything as he was caught behind.
