Mumbai: After confirming the news of injured Aaron Finch being ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma on Thursday said his team is looking for a suitable replacement but no one has been finalised yet. “Yes, Finch is ruled out of the IPL 2015. We are thinking about the replacement. There are some names coming up. Nothing has been finalised yet,” Rohit said ahead of their match against Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai on Friday.
“We needed to look at a few more options. We will check that and accordingly decide. But it has to be done quickly,” the 27-year-old skipper said. In Tuesday’s match against Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad, Finch limped out of the field as he hurt his left leg’s hamstring while taking a single.
Finch was ruled out of the tournament on Wednesday after his scan report was out. “Looks like I’ll be out of the rest of IPL at this stage! The scan showed a bit of damage, absolutely shattered!, (sic)” Finch wrote on social networking site Twitter on Wednesday. READ: Finch set to be ruled out of IPL 2015
