Musheer Khan — 8-year-old who dismissed Yuvraj Singh

In 2011, six-year-old Musheer Khan, left-arm spinner from Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English school became the youngest cricketer to play Giles Shield Under-14 tournament.

Musheer bagged a six-wicket haul in his first match to help his side Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English medium school romp to an innings and 40-run win.

Two years later, he became the youngest to play Kanga League and bagged five wickets for his side. Doing so, he became the youngest to bag five-wickets in the tournaments’s 65-year-old history.

In a match between Yuvraj Singh’s academy and media, Musheer dismissed the Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh.

The eight-year-old can be seen practising at Azad Maidan with his father Naushad Khan keeping a close eye on him.

In his first Kanga League match, playing for Sportsfield, Khan scored four runs and took three wickets for just 20 runs in his seven overs. His father Naushad, a renowned coach in Mumbai’s cricketing circle and father of young sensation Sarfaraz Khan, also played for the same team in that match.
