N Srinivasan is all set to represent it at the International Cricket Committee’s (ICC) annual board meeting starting from June 25 in London.

Srinivasan had stepped aside from the day-to-day functioning of the Indian cricket board and Jagmohan Dalmiya was made the interim BCCI chief. But Srinivasan will go to London as reports The Indian Express.

India is to be in opposition to the proposed uniform implementation of the Decision Review System (DRS) at the ICC meet. It is learnt that top BCCI officials are not averse to Srinivasan attending the meet and continue with India’s current stand on implementation of technology in decision-making.

“Srinivasan will attend the meeting on behalf of the BCCI. He has been attending the meetings in the past and is a strong voice when it comes to opposing the decision review system,” a BCCI official told.

BCCI’s newly-appointed secretary Sanjay Patel will accompany Srinivasan to London this Sunday to attend Chief Executives meeting. Srinivasan will be attending ICC annual board conference to be held on June 26.

Dalmiya will meet Srinivasan on Thursday in Chennai along with newly-appointed treasurer Ravi Savant and Patel. This is expected to be first meeting of the top BCCI officials since their respective appointments, and it is learnt that all three will not oppose the decision of Srinivasan attending the London meet.

“We have no problem if the decision of having use of DRS is left with hosts and visiting board. Let the two boards whose teams are playing should decide. Some of the boards can afford it but not many other members can afford to have use of such a expensive technology,” a BCCI insider said.
