Naeem Islam, Shakib Al Hasan steer Bangladesh past 250 at lunch against West Indies
Naeem Islam and Shakib Al Hasan further stabilised Bangladesh innings by smashing half-centuries against West Indies in the first Test at Mirpur on day three.

Bangladesh lost Tamim Iqbal in the opening session of the day, when he was dismissed by West Indies skipper Darren Sammy.Iqbal was caught by Sunil Narine off a short ball by Sammy. The batsman scored 72 off 71 balls.
Earlier, in the West Indies innings, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Denesh Ramdin frustrated Bangladesh as they took the West Indies to an imposing score of 437-4.
Resuming at 361-4, the pair added 76 runs in the morning session as Bangladesh‘s attack failed to make a breakthrough on a lifeless pitch at the Shere Bangla stadium.
Chanderpaul was unbeaten on 156 and Ramdin, on 84, was approaching his third Test century as the pair extended their fifth wicket partnership to 206.
