Adelaide: Nasir Jamshed, the opening batsman, will not be playing the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 clash against India at the Adelaide Oval. Jamshed was brought in as a replacement for Mohammad Hafeez, who was injured in the lead-up to the tournament. Initially, it was expected that Jamshed would open the batting with Ahmed Shehzad. With Jamshed not playing, one would expect Sarfraz Ahmed to open the batting for Pakistan. Sarfraz has opened the batting in the past and is one of the batsmen who has performed well for Pakistan over the last one year. Bringing him to the top may add stability to the top. Shehzad had an injury scare a couple of days ago when he hurt his elbow at practice, but was expected to be fit for the game. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: POINTS TABLE
