In the opening two matches of the trans-Tasman series, Craig has struggled by taking six wickets at an average of 73 and conceding more than five runs an over. In an innings in Brisbane and Perth, he twice went wicket less and has figures of 6-438 in the two games. Lyon has taken seven wickets at 36, on the other hand. Craig’s place was assured for next week’s third Test at the Adelaide Oval by New Zealand coach Mike Hesson. The pink ball is expected to suit the spinners of Australia is obvious, as Australia toying with the idea of including, Lyon and Steve O’Keefe in a twin-spin attack,  however Craig is certain to hold his place as reported by cricket.com.au. Scorecard: Australia vs New Zealand 2015-16, 3rd Test at Adelaide

As per Lyon, all touring spinners usually struggled with Australian pitches. “A lot of spinners cop a lot of criticism when they come out here,” Lyon said. “It’s not the easiest place in the world to bowl spin, especially if you haven’t grown up in these conditions. “He’s a talented offspin bowler, there’s no doubt about that, he gets some lovely shape on it.” ALSO READ: Australia vs New Zealand 2015-16, 3rd Test at Adelaide: What to expect from 1st ever Day-Night Test

Nathan Lyon has been on quite a run in the Test arena with his sharp and accurate  bowling against the visiting New Zealand team in the on-going Trans-Tasman series 2015. Nathan Lyon in his recent comments has added fuel to fire that Australia might go in with 2 spinners in the Adelaide Test as he expects the pink ball to help the spinners more and get more purchase from the wicket.  New South Wales (NSW) spinner Steve O’Keefe who was a surprise inclusion in the squad of 13 for the historic first ever day-night Test against New Zealand could easily fill in the role of a perfect partner to Lyon.
