Former Indian spinner Neetu David, still holding the record for best numbers in an individual Test inning (8/53), became the second female cricketer from the country to get her name inducted to the ICC Hall of Fame.
South African legend AB de Villiers and former England captain Alastair Cook also got inducted along with Neetu.
The current chairman of the selectors for Indian Women’s team has entered the ICC Hall of Fame just a year after induction of former captain Diana Edulji.
David has more featured more than 100 times ( 10 Tests and 97 ODIs) for India as a left-arm spinner and has joined a great list of cricketers along with Alastair Cook and AB de Villiers.
Cook represented England for more than 250 times in international cricket, making the most of his impact in Test cricket. He retired from international cricket in 2018 as the highest Test run-scorer and century-maker for England. He also saw rapid success with the bat in both home grounds and on grounds overseas.
De Villiers, commonly known as “Mr 360”, peaked in Tests and T20I cricket and earned a reputation for being one of the most feared and destructive batter in the history of the game.
