Nepal have beaten Namibia by 5 wickets in Match no.21 of ICC World Cricket League Championship. This was the first win for Nepal side in this tournament, having lost their previous two games against Papa New Guinea. Namibia on the other hand were playing their 5th game of the tournament, having lost three and winning a solitary game against Hong Kong. Batting first, Namibia managed to post 195/9 in their full quota of 50 overs. In their chase, Nepal successfully chased down the target with 17 balls to spare. The WCL is a 50-over tournament hosted by ICC for the non-Test playing nations. This is the third edition of WCL, which commenced in 2012 and will end in 2018.

Batting first, Namibia managed to post 195 on the board from their 50 overs. Most of the batsmen got off to starts, but none of them got on to get a big one. Sarel Burger was the leading run-scorer with 38 runs for Namibia. For Nepal, Basant Regmi took 3 wickets. Chasing 196, Nepal got of to a good start, with all their top 4 getting runs. Despite losing wickets in the middle, Sharad Vesawkar and Binod Bhandari played well to guide their side to a win. Vesawkar ended up scoring 50 and Bhandari scored a good 49-ball 40.
The other teams to have played matches are Hong Kong, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, United Arab Emirates and Scotland. The Netherlands are on top of the table, with 4 wins in 6 matches. Nepal find themselves 6th in table following their win, whereas Namibia are one position down in 7th.
