The massive earthquake in Nepal has shocked the World on Saturday © BCCI

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) players observed two-minutes of silence for the Nepal Earthquake victims. The CSK and the KXIP players are now involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 and are playing their game at the MA Chidamaram Stadium, Chennai. They observed the moments of silence ahead of their IPL 2015 match on Saturday.

Earlier on Saturday, Nepal and Northern India was shaken by a couple of strong earthquakes. While, the earthquake did not have much of an impact on India, Nepal has seen many casualties with hundreds feared dead. The shocks were felt on the morning of Saturday and news of the devastation spread across the world, with many trying to get in touch with the people in Nepal to find out about their well being.

In such times, sportsmen often pay their respects in various ways and one of them is maintaining a few moments of silence ahead of a game. Earlier in the tournament, the teams had also observed a few moments of silence for the death of young cricketer Ankit Keshri.
