Nepal skipper Paras Khadka has been dismissed for a duck against Netherlands in 25th game of ICC World Cricket League Championship 2016. Nepal are placed in a precarious situation at the moment with wickets falling like nine pins. Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first on a surface which had enough assistance for the bowlers. Nepal started off well but lost their momentum in the middle. Gyanendra Mall was the first batsman to be dismissed after which Sharad Vesawkar walked in. Moments later, Anil Mandal was dismissed for a well-made 20 and skipper Khadka walked out to rescue his team. Nepal vs Netherlands 2016, Live Updates

Roelof van der Merwe bowled with immense confidence and got the better of Khadka on the very first delivery he faced. Merwe outfoxed Khadka and got the ball hit his pads, which was straight away given by the umpire for as leg before. Nepal were in all sorts of trouble after Khadka’s dismissal as a lot of their team’s success depended on his runs column.

Netherlands kept on chipping wickets at regular intervals and didn’t let Nepal make a comeback in the game. Nepal at the end of 33 overs were delicately placed at 86 for the loss of seven wickets. With the tail open, Netherlands will now look to clean up the innings at the earliest. Merwe chipped in with two wickets whereas Michael Rippon has two scalps to his name. The only top-scorer for Nepal has been Anil Mandal for his tally of 20 runs. Sharad Vesawkar showed some nerves of steel but eventually fell for 14 for 71 deliveries.
