Nepal Women cricketer Rubina Chettri, on Tuesday, was announced as the first women cricketer from Nepal to be elected to join a training programme in the Australian domestic Twenty20 (T20) competition, Women’s Big Bash League (BBL) for the upcoming season of 2016-17, as she would be representing the Melbourne Renegades, while currently, she would be joining the Women’s Big Bash League Associate Rookies program in Melbourne soon. Cricket Association of Nepal’s president Bhawana Ghimire made the official announcement on Tuesday via her official Twitter handle, while she also wished the young Rubina all the luck for her this endeavor, as he makes her nation proud. Meanwhile, Nepali legendary cricketer Paras Khadka made his mark once again when he hammered as many as four sixes off the former world No. 1 spinner Saeed Ajmal, in the 2X Cricket USA Cup 2016 match. The last international game which Ajmal played for Pakistan was on their last tour of Bangladesh. Ajmal played the second ODI of the game and since then he has been away from the team. In this game of the 2X Cricket USA Cup 2016 match, Nepali Rhinos were coming off a victory over Florida Underdogs, and Houston Sparks surprised the UAE Falcons to enter the final of the tournament.
