In the crucial Group 1 encounter of ICC World T20 2014 played between Netherlands and New Zealand at Chittagong, New Zealand recovered after losing the wicket of Martin Guptill. It was Kane Williamson who played few cheeky shots around the corner to keep the scorecard ticking. He finally got out to Logan Van Beek’s bowling. It was a tame dismissal, as he just guided it to the wicketkeeper. On the other hand, Brendon McCullum took his time to find his timing going.

Earlier,  New Zealand made a steady start against Netherlands, while chasing a target of 152. It has to be said that on a good track, New Zealand can up the ante when needed. For Netherlands, Timm Van de Gugten used his shoulder to generate a bit of pace and hit the bat hard. Martin Guptill, the New Zealand opener finally got out to Gugten’s bowling. He is certainly quicker than what he seems to be. Williamson though, is playing  a steady hand for them.
