New Zealand cricket team secured their name in history books on March 5, as they posted the highest-ever total in the history of Champions Trophy. The Black Caps secured this record in the Gaddafi Stadium during the semifinal clash against South Africa, where the team posted a total of 362/6.
As the team decided to bat first, New Zealand batters delivered a spectacular performance. Even though they faced early setbacks, he rest of the bating lineup turned out to be decisive. Their batting display put immense pressure on South African bowlers and laid foundation for the record-breaking score.
The stunning centuries by Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson were the anchor for New Zealand’s score. Their partnership of 164 runs for the second wicket broke the South African bowling attack.
