During a match between Otago Volts and Wellington, Andrew McCullouch, a New Zealand cricket fan seated on the grass bank at Seddon Park in Hamilton took a blinder of a catch and won 5000 New Zealand dollars for his efforts. One could hear Ian Smith’s cries of joy from the commentary box as he displayed tremendous athleticism despite losing his footing, grabbing the ball one handed out of thin air according to the Wide World Of Sports.

He ran forward to position himself under the ball but nearly fell over as the ball was coming down,to his credit he kept his composure and caught it nonchalantly behind his back. “He‘s got it, he’s got it, he’s got it, you champion, that’s unbelievable, $5000,” was the reaction of an amazed Ian Smith. Michael Bracewell was the Batsman Who slogged former Kiwi off spinner Jeetan Patel over the deep midwicket fence.
