A three-member delegation from New Zealand Cricket (NZC) today conducted a recce to understand the facilities and conveniences at the Holkar Stadium here, which will host one of the Tests of the bilateral series between India and New Zealand here. The India-New Zealand Test match is slated to be held at Holkar Stadium from October 8. The team comprised Catherine Anne Campbell, Henry Fenwicke Eisdell Moore and Ian David Snare. Two officials of the BCCI — Sumeet Mallapurkar and Dheeraj Malhotra — also accompanied the visiting New Zealand team. The recce team had an interaction with the DIG Police, Indore, in connection with the security arrangements for the match. The DIG Police responded to all requirements expressed by the team.
The team also took a round of the stadiam and had a look at the ground and practice facilities and had a healthy discussion with the Office Bearers of MPCA. The team appeared to be satisfied with the proposed arrangements. Also read: Sehwag awarded Honorary Life Membership of MCC

Another delegation from BCCI – covering the TV production arrangements — also conducted a recce of the stadium, accompanied by the technical expertise for the ‘spidercam’ system. MPCA is hopeful about a positive feasibility report which shall result in use of spidercam for the first time at Holkar Stadium here.
